William A. Dervinis

Reverend Mr. William A. Dervinis, 85, of Wyoming, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, May 23, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on April 16, 1940, in Plymouth, Bill was the son of the late William and Ella Mae Massaker Dervinis.
Bill, a beloved figure in the Diocese of Scranton, was ordained as a deacon in November of 1993, and served the church communities faithfully for 32years.
He was a member of Corpus Christi Parish and the former St. Cecilia's Church. He dedicated himself to serving Christ and the community, assisting in church services.
He was a lifelong member and a Fourth Degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary F. VanCamp Dervinis; and his brother, George Dervinis.
Surviving are his children, William Dervinis and his wife, Sherry, Exeter; Colleen Neel and her husband, Timothy, Wyoming; and Christopher Dervinis and his wife, Laura, Gainesville, FL; nine grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; his siblings, Annette Smerdon, Scranton; Blondie (Ella Mae) Koretic and her husband, Frank, FL; Wesley Dervinis and his wife, Debbie, Wilkes-Barre; Debbie Turak, Plymouth; and Sharon Balent, Plymouth; as numerous nieces and nephews.
The Dervinis family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to Traditional Hospice for their excellent care for Bill and for the support they gave Bill's family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral which will be held on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. from the Bednarski Funeral Home, 168 Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Anthony's Church, of Corpus Christi Parish, 224 Memorial St., Exeter, PA.
Interment will follow in St. Cecilia's Cemetery, Exeter.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
