Mary Ann Kosisher, 78, of Kingston and formerly of Swoyersville, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2026, at Maple Ridge Rehab & Healthcare Center.

She was the devoted wife of the late Joseph "Joe" Kosisher, who preceded her in death in 2018.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, Mary Ann was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Anderko) Asklar.

A woman of steady faith, she was a lifelong member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in Swoyersville.

Mary Ann was a graduate of Central Catholic High School.

While she initially worked at the United Pants Factory, she found her true calling as a stay-at-home mother—a role she embraced with immense pride and dedication. Mary Ann found beauty in life's simplest moments: a competitive game of bingo, her favorite game shows and soap operas, talking on the phone with friends and family, and the companionship of her beloved cats.

She is survived by her daughter, MaryJo Demski and husband, Jeff, of the Lehigh Valley; her cherished feline companions, Shayla and Cookie, who now reside with her daughter's family; her brothers, Joseph Asklar and his wife, Wendy, SC; and Robert Asklar and his wife, Barbara Jo, Swoyersville; her sister Rose Kosakowski and her husband, Dave, Monongahela; several nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews.

As per Mary Ann's request, funeral services will be private.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Bednarski Funeral Home, 168 Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming.

In lieu of flowers, her daughter requests any donations to be made in her mom's name to Foxy's Cradle, 5260 Overlook Rd., Coplay, PA  18037, to support their tireless efforts in helping homeless cats and neonatal kittens, a cause dear to her mom's heart.
