Obituary

Lorraine M. Sleboda, 86, of Mountain Top, passed away Monday, October 28, 2024 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, on October 4, 1938, Lorraine was the daughter of the late David and Mary Krysiuk Morris.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a Registered Nurse at the former Davis Manor in Mountain Top for many years.

A devout Catholic, Lorraine was a member of St. Jude Parish in Mountain Top. A woman of strong faith, Lorraine was sustained by her deep devotion to prayer, praying the rosary daily.

In addition to her parents, Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph S. Sleboda; and brothers, David, Bernard, Stanley, and Anthony Morris.

Lorraine's greatest love in life was her family, especially her grandchildren.  She will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, and loving grandmother.

Surviving are her daughters, Donna Druby and her husband, Thomas, Mountain Top; and Susan Yuricheck, and her husband, Steve, Nesquehoning; son, Joseph Sleboda and his wife, Patty, Mountain Top; four grandchildren, Marissa Kapuscinski and her husband, Michael; Michelle Heck and her husband, Ryan; Courtney Mesh; and Ryan Mesh and his fiancé, Brianna; five great-grandchildren, Aubree Mesh, Peter Kapuscinski, Ava Heck, Kevin Kapuscinski and Mia Heck; brothers, Thomas Morris and his wife, Susan, Dallas; and Robert Morris and his wife, Terry, Dallas; sister, Melanie Morris, Edwardsville; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday from Bednarski Funeral Home, 168 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Jude Parish, 420 South Mountain Blvd., Mountain Top.

Family and friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of services Saturday at the funeral home.
