Leonard W. Krispin Sr., 92, of Kingston Twp., passed away Sunday, June 16, 2024 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre.

Born December 10, 1931, in Larksville, Leonard was the youngest son and last surviving child of the late Stanley and Mary Szczech Krispin.

Raised in Dallas, Leonard was a graduate of Westmoreland High School, Trucksville Class of 1949, and was a frequent attendee of class reunions.

He was a longtime and active member of St. Frances X. Cabrini Church, Kingston Twp. Throughout the years he served as past lector, Eucharistic Minister, and assisted with church building maintenance and administrative activities.

Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Coates Reprographics Inc. in Dallas.  He was a third degree lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus and worked at the election poles for many years.

Leonard lived his whole life on the family farm just outside of Dallas.  He was happiest driving his tractor both in the farm fields as well as mowing his lawn.  He loved tending to his beloved garden and plants around the house.  He continued to occasionally assist with farm work into old age and also enjoyed observing farm work in his later years.

A man of many enjoyments, Leonard enjoyed attending and hearing about great happenings and life events.  Above all, his greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with his beloved family and close friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Frederick Krispin, and several brothers and sisters.

Surviving are his wife, of 67 years, Alice Romanowski Krispin; sons, Leonard Krispin Jr. and his wife, Susan, Dallas; James Krispin and his wife, Joan, Trucksville; Robert Krispin, West Wyoming; and Daniel Krispin and his wife, Audrey, Centermoreland; daughters, Pamela Drugotch and her husband, Jeff, Perkasie; and Judy Coslett and her husband, Jeff, Kingston; daughter-in-law, Jayne Krispin, Dallas; 13 grandchildren, James Krispin and his wife, Krystle; John Krispin and his wife, Kate; Fred Krispin and partner, Jennifer Kaminski; Suzanne Krispin and husband, Antonio Mannino; Kyle Coslett and wife, Kelsey; Matthew Krispin; Eric Drugotch and his fiancé, Sarabeth Sullivan; Alex Krispin and partner Laura Christman; Lauren Drugoth and fiancé Brady Bowman; Kate Coslett; Zachary Krispin; Kellie Henry and husband, Jackson; Danielle Mackiewicz and husband, Owen; 6 great grandchildren, Jenna Krispin, Jessica Krispin, James Krispin, Finn Krispin, Benjamin Krispin, Kasia Krispin; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday from Bednarski Funeral Home, 168 Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. Frances X. Cabrini Church, 585 Mt. Olivet Road, Carverton, with the Reverend Joseph J. Pisaneschi, officiating.

Interment will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton.

Family and friends are invited to attend Leonard's visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
