Joan Dolores Szura, 83, of Wyoming, passed away Thursday, January 30, 2025 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Wilkes-Barre.

Born August 4, 1941, in Exeter, Joan was the daughter of the late Daniel and Jean Martini DeRoberto.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Jeffrey J. Szura; sister, Rita Colondo; and her brothers, Daniel and Thomas DeRoberto.

Joan was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend and she was also a wonderful and devoted homemaker.

Surviving are her husband of 60 years, Joseph Szura; her son, Joseph M. Szura, Wyoming; her daughter, Jill Lynne Szura, West Pittston; her brother, Richard DeRoberto and his wife Debi, New Hampshire; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday from the Bednarski Funeral Home, 168 Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church of Corpus Christi Parish, 605 Luzerne Ave., West Pittston.

Interment will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton.
