Joan M. Allan, 90, of Exeter, passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at River View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Pittston, on March 28, 1933, Joan was the daughter of the late Andrew and Alice Miller Kovaleski.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a registered nurse by the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Joan was a member of St. Cecilia's Church, of St. Barbara's Parish in Exeter.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Allan and her brother, Joseph Kovaleski.

Surviving are her sons, John Allan and his wife, Diane, Harding and Joseph Allan and his wife, Nancy, Harding; three grandsons, John Allan and his wife Brittany; Michael Allan; and Josh Allan and his wife, Caitlin; one step grandson, Cameron Savage; and three great grandchildren, John, Zoey, and Emma Allan.

A private funeral will be held at the convenience of the family.  Interment will be held in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Wyoming.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Bednarski Funeral Home, 168 Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming.
