Eleanor A. Seneski, 98, of Wyoming, passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2024 at Wesley Village, Jenkins Township, where she had been a guest for the past few years.

Born on October 29, 1926, in Pittston, Eleanor was the daughter of the late Michael and Anna Zimniski Kopec.  Raised in Port Griffith, Eleanor was a graduate of the former Jenkins High School.

In earlier years, Eleanor worked in the garment industry.  She then went on to build a career as a beautician for over 50 years, after graduating from Empire Beauty School.

Her faith and her family were of utmost importance to her.  Time spent with her family and friends were what Eleanor enjoyed the most.

Eleanor was a faithful Catholic and longtime member of the former St. Joseph's Church, Wyoming, where she held membership with the church's Confraternity of Christian Mothers. Following the consolidation of her church, she became a member of St. Monica Parish, West Wyoming.

Eleanor was a member of the Wyoming-West Wyoming Senior Citizens.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Matthew Seneski; her first husband, Charles Vernouski; brother, Bill Kopec; and her stepdaughter, JoAnn Castellino.

Surviving are her two sons, David Vernouski and his wife, Paige, Wyoming; and Richard Vernouski, and his wife, Roxann, Galloway, NJ; 3 grandchildren, David, Jessica, and Cara Jo; and 2 great grandsons, Ezra and Carson; and their mother, Yuga Tsering.

Private funeral services have been entrusted to the Bednarski Funeral Home, 168 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming.
