David Sadowski, 79, born November 27, 1945, in Wilkes-Barre, PA, passed away peacefully at Horizons Inc. Group Home in Steubenville, OH, on Wednesday July 2, 2025.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Victoria (Wagosh) and Walter F. Sadowski and his brother, Walter D. Sadowski, Sr.

David faced significant challenges throughout his life due to his physical condition and being non-verbal. Despite these challenges, he radiated warmth and joy, always greeting those around him with a bright smile.

David had a passion for western movies and action-packed shows, often watching with great enthusiasm. One of his most cherished traditions was spending Sundays with his late brother, Walt, watching movies together. A tradition that continued with his nephew Wally to ensure David remained surrounded by love and family.

He enjoyed monthly outings which included going to rodeos, Nailer games, Gateway Clipper rides, and much more. He attended P.A.L.S. weekly for over 25 years.

In addition to his family, David had a special bond with his caregiver Leanna, who cared for him as if he were her own family. Her dedication and compassion provided support and comfort, enriching his life in countless ways and including him in her family activities.

David is survived by his nephew, Wally Sadowski and wife Mary; his niece, Kerry Patterson and husband Tony; his grandniece, Zoe; and his sister-in-law, Betty Sadowski.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Chapel of the Oak Lawn Cemetery, South Main St., Hanover Twp., with the Reverend Peter Tomczak, officiating.

Interment will follow in the Oak Lawn Cemetery, Hanover Twp.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Bednarski Funeral Home, 168 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming.
