David John Balint, 84, of Harding, passed away Sunday, October 27, 2024 in Middletown, DE.
His loving wife is Elizabeth "Betty" Savoroski Balint. Together, they celebrated their 61stwedding anniversary on July 20, 2024.
Born on April 6, 1940 in Exeter, David was the son of the late John and Mary Dunsavage Balint.
David worked in management for Insalaco's Market, retiring after thirty plus years.
He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church of Corpus Christi Parish, West Pittston.
David enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, and fishing. Although he had many hobbies, he loved and was well known for making kielbasa.
Above all, he loved spending time with his family, especially during the holidays when all his family would get together.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Eugene Balent.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Elizabeth, David is survived by his sons, David John Balint Jr. and his wife, Jennifer, Middletown, DE; and James J. Balint, and his wife, Laura, Avondale; grandchildren, Maggie, David John III, Cole, Hunter and Mitchell; brother, Robert Balint and his wife, Mary Lou, Exeter; step sister, Linda Gilroy, West Pittston; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Friday from Bednarski Funeral Home, 168 Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church of Corpus Christi Parish, 605 Luzerne Ave., West Pittston, with Monsignor John J. Sempa, officiating.
Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Cedar St., Exeter.
Family and friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
