Carl Bednarski, 82, of Wyoming, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 18, 2025, at home, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Kingston, on August 5, 1943, Carl was the son of the late Alfonso and Helen "Dolly" Emershaw Bednarski.

Carl was a devoted owner-operator truck driver for over 60 years. He found true fulfillment behind the wheel, his love for tractor trailers shaping his entire professional life.

Beyond his trucking career, Carl was also the owner of the Bednarski Monument Company, a business with a long history, initially founded by his grandfather many years prior. This family legacy provided an additional dimension to his professional life, and his dedication to both enterprises remained unwavering.

He was an avid fan of auto racing, with a particular love for the high-speed excitement of Sprint Car racing and the precision of Formula 1 racing.

A devoted husband and family man, Carl's greatest pleasure was traveling in his motorhome with his wife, Carol, and their family.Their journeys often led them south for the winter, with the sunny beaches of Florida and the vibrant atmosphere of Key West being particular favorites. Carl enjoyed stopping at many beaches along the way, enjoying the coastal beauty and creating lasting memories with his loved ones.

He lived by a simple code: work hard, take care of your own, and enjoy the little things. His legacy lives on in his family and the values he instilled in them.

He was a devoted husband, father, and especially a loving grandfather to his grandchildren.  He treasured every moment spent with them, creating lasting memories that will be held in their hearts forever.

Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Carol (Stelma) Bednarski; his sons, Kenneth Bednarski, Wyoming; Joseph Bednarski and his wife, Lyn, Wyoming; his daughter, Karen Drost and her husband, David, Harveys Lake; his grandchildren, Drew, Bree and Bret Bednarski; his sister, Jean Benedict, Virginia; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation which will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, from 4 to 7 P.M. at the Bednarski Funeral Home, 168 Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming.

Funeral services and interment will be private for immediate family only.
