Obituary

Bernard Pirillo, 82, of White Haven, and formerly of West Wyoming and North Port, FL, affectionately known as "Bernie" and "Bennie" to many, passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at the Gino J. Merli Veteran's Center in Scranton.

Born in Swoyersville, on December 26, 1941, Bernie was the son of the late Pasquale and Catherine Fender Pirillo.

Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Shawnee Concrete-Schall Trucking for many years. He was a member of the Teamsters Local 401.

Bernie was gifted with the ability to bring joy to any situation and he would often lighten the mood with his witty sense of humor.  His ability to bring joy to others will be fondly remembered.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Anthony; and sister, Jospehine Bizub.

Surviving are his wife, Helen (Ferko) Pirillo; sons, Anthony and Vincent Dixon; daughters, Dawn Fiedorczyk and her husband, Christopher Moore; and Dayna Fiedorczyk; 4 granddaughters, Ashley, Susan, Izabella and Annalyse; his brother, Joseph Pirillo; 3 cats; multiple grandcats and granddogs; as well as several nieces and nephews.

To honor the memory of Bernie, as per his wishes, there will be no formal viewing or funeral.

A Celebration of his Life will be held at a later date.
