Anita (Sorick) Allen, RN, 89, of Wyoming, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 20, 2026 at her home.

Her beloved husband of 60 years was the late Cornelius Joseph Allen, who passed away June 5, 2022.

Born on July 24, 1937, in Pittston, Anita was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Secula) Sorick.

Anita was a registered nurse and, prior to her retirement, dedicated many years to caring for others. She was a graduate of the Pittston Hospital School of Nursing.

In addition to her parents and husband, Anita was preceded in death by her brothers, William and John Sorick; and her sister, Eleanor Sorick.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Anna Jimenez from Griswold for the compassionate and wonderful care she provided to Anita and her family.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Lynn Allen; and Hope Allen, and her long term partner, Robert Kenyon; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In accordance with Anita’s wishes, her viewing and funeral service were held privately for her immediate family.

Interment was held at St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Schooley Street, Exeter.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Bednarski Funeral Home, 168 Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming.
